Earth-based Technologies

At Tellura, we are revolutionizing the use of natural fabrics and biocomposites.
For us, performance is a compromise and sustainability is a standard.

We do not simply use another natural fiber (e.g. flax, hemp, bamboo, etc.).
We use a “processed yarn” derived from natural fibers while preserving its 100% natural content.

A real sustainable alternative to petroleum-intensive plastics and glass- or carbon-fiber composites.

About Us

Our Mission

At Tellura Technologies, we are on a mission to revolutionize the use of eco-friendly materials in various industries. Our commitment to sustainability and innovation drives us to develop cutting-edge solutions that not only meet industry demands but also contribute to a greener planet. Join us in our journey towards a more sustainable future.

Products  &  Services

We use a “processed yarn” derived from natural fibers while preserving its 100% natural content. This textile can be a reinforcement to bio-based polymers to create a new generation of lightweight, high-performance biocomposites. And, fabrics for fashion-for-good.

Renewable resources, ensuring both scalability and compliance with sustainability standards. We operate under a B2B model, partnering to design and integrate our biocomposites into new and existing projects.

We also offer solutions on R&D and engineering design, providing consulting services for mechanical design, materials and manufacturing, tests and certification, characterization properties, and research plans.

Applications

Tellura's biocomposites can replace most conventional synthetic materials, such as plastics, carbon/glass fiber composites, and even metals, in non- or semi-structural applications.

From mass transportation to architecture & design, from sports to luxury aesthetic components, and even high-performance Radome for telecommunication, our biocomposite will deliver eco-friendly benefits without sacrificing any performance.

Transports

Our biocomposite will certainly provide the best lightweight efficiency combined with a high strength-to-weight ratio. While offering vibration dumping, acoustic and thermal insulation, it serves different uses:

- Interior panels & trims,

- Seats,

- Flooring & luggage compartments,

- Cabin interiors, and

- Wall partitions & acoustic panels.

Less weight! With a density as low as 1.16 g/cm³, ~42% lower than glass-fiber composites.

Less fuel consumption. Even more sustainable.

Sports

A lightweight impact resistance and durable material that can be ideal for various sports uses:

- Surfboards & paddleboards,

- Kayak & canoe,

- Skateboards & longboards,
- Fitness gear,
- Protective gear, and
- Accessories.

Architecture & Design

With its natural texture, high durability, and environmental resistance, it serves as an eco-friendly substitute for different uses:

- Wall panels & facades,

- Ceiling panels,

- Furniture & cabinetry,

- Decorative elements, and

- Home décor.

Telecommunication-Radome

Solutions for high-performance radome in telecommunication. Designed to provide electromagnetic transparency, environmental resistance, and mechanical durability, our biocomposite is ideal as enclosures for electronic systems.

- Radar and antenna – ensure minimal signal interference while protecting sensitive equipment.

- 5G and satellite communication radomes – offer low transmission loss and high-frequency performance.

- Weather-resistant covers – protect against UV exposure, moisture, and climate temperatures.

We are specialized in electromagnetic compatibility or interference EMC/EMI and able to design our biocomposites for specific applications while offering customizable electromagnetic properties.

Why Tellura?

The biocomposite offers a game-changing, sustainable alternative for industries looking to reduce their environmental impact, meet regulatory goals, and embrace a future of green innovation. 🌱♻️

Health &
Safety Benefits

  • Biodegradable in less than a year in compost soil environment.

  • Viable end-of-life solutions with zero-waste initiatives. No plastic pollution.

  • Contributes to a closed-loop production model with renewability and biodegradability.

Biodegradability & Circular Economy

*the parameters are dependent on specific application.

Our Impact

Sustainable & Renewable

  • Made from natural fibers, a fast-growing, naturally renewable plant that requires no fertilizers or pesticides.

  • Reinforced with bio-based epoxy resin, reducing reliance on petroleum-derived materials.

  • Biodegradability (~8 months in compost conditions) minimizes long-term environmental impact.

Lightweight with High Strength

  • Density of 1.15 g/cm³, making it lighter than most synthetic composites (carbon/glass fiber), plastics (PVC, PC), or metals (Al, Fe).

  • Excellent strength-to-weight ratio, providing durability without added weight—increasing product lifespan.

  • Mechanical strength is superior to that of most petroleum-derived plastics.

Carbon-Capture Material

  • Absorbs CO₂ during plant growth, offsetting emissions and contributing to a lower carbon footprint.

  • Bio-based epoxy resin has a lower CO₂ footprint than synthetic resins.

  • Supports corporate sustainability goals and eco-conscious regulations.

Versatile Applications

  • Fully customizable in thickness and format, while providing natural aesthetics for functional and decorative uses. No painting required.

  • Able to design and tailor for a specific application. Reinforcements for mechanical needs, fire-resistant solutions, and guidance on the qualification & certification process—we have got you covered.
