About Us

Our Mission

At Tellura Technologies, we are on a mission to revolutionize the use of eco-friendly materials in various industries. Our commitment to sustainability and innovation drives us to develop cutting-edge solutions that not only meet industry demands but also contribute to a greener planet. Join us in our journey towards a more sustainable future.

Products & Services

We provide solutions for natural fiber reinforced polymers (NFRP) in high-performance applications. Our Abaca-biocomposite is made from an advanced natural-based epoxy resin reinforced by natural Abaca fibers (Musa textilis). This innovative combination delivers exceptional strength-to-weight ratios while maintaining biodegradability within ~8 months (compost soil) and carbon-negative credentials.

Our supply chain is built on renewable resources, ensuring scalability and compliance with sustainability. We operate under a B2B model, partnering with industry manufacturers, infrastructure developers, and government agencies to design and integrate our biocomposites into new and existing projects.

We supply Abaca yarns and technical fabrics, offering a versatile array of options for composite lamination processes.

Applications

Tellura's biocomposites can replace most conventional synthetic materials, such as plastics, carbon/glass fiber composites, and even metals, in non- or semi-structural applications.

From mass transportation to architecture & design, from sports to luxury aesthetic components, and even high-performance Radome for telecommunication, our Abaca biocomposite will deliver eco-friendly benefits without sacrificing any performance.

Transports

With a density of 1.15 g/cc, Abaca biocomposite will certainly provide the best lightweight efficiency combined with a high strength-to-weight ratio. While offering vibration dumping, acoustic and thermal insulation, it serves different uses:

- Interior panels & trims,

- Seats,

- Flooring & luggage compartments,

- Cabin interiors, and

- Wall partitions & acoustic panels.

By integrating Abaca Biocomposite into transportation, industries will align with global sustainability standards (e.g., EU Green Deal, UN Sustainable Development Goals) and meet corporate sustainability and ESG commitments.

Sports

A lightweight impact resistance and durable material that can be ideal for various sports uses:

- Surfboards & paddleboards,

- Kayak & canoe,

- Skateboards & longboards,
- Fitness gear,
- Protective gear, and
- Accessories.

Architecture & Design

With its natural texture, high durability, and environmental resistance, it serves as an eco-friendly substitute for different uses:

- Wall panels & facades,

- Ceiling panels,

- Furniture & cabinetry,

- Decorative elements, and

- Home décor.

Telecommunication-Radome

Tellura also presents solutions for high-performance radome covers in telecommunication. Designed to provide electromagnetic transparency, environmental resistance, and mechanical durability, our biocomposite material is ideal for radomes in civil and military sectors.

- Radar and antenna enclosures – ensure minimal signal interference while protecting sensitive equipment.

- 5G and satellite communication radomes – offer low transmission loss and high-frequency performance.

- Weather-resistant covers – protect against UV exposure, moisture, and climate temperatures.

We are specialized in electromagnetic compatibility or interference EMC/EMI and able to design our biocomposites for specific applications while offering customizable electromagnetic properties.

Our Impact

The Abaca-Biocomposites offer a game-changing, sustainable alternative for industries looking to reduce their environmental impact, meet regulatory goals, and embrace a future of green innovation. 🌱♻️

Why Us?

Sustainable & Renewable

  • Made from Abaca fibers (Musa textilis), a fast-growing, naturally renewable plant that requires no fertilizers or pesticides.

  • Reinforced with bio-based epoxy resin, reducing reliance on petroleum-derived materials.

  • Certified biodegradable (~8 months in compost conditions), minimizing long-term environmental impact.

Lightweight with High Strength

  • Density: 1.16 g/cm³, making it lighter than most synthetic composites (carbon/glass fiber), plastics (PVC, PC), or metals (Al, Fe).

  • Excellent strength-to-weight ratio, providing durability without added weight—increasing product lifespan.

  • Mechanical strength is superior to that of most plastics and other common natural fiber composites (e.g., flax, sisal, bamboo).

Carbon-Negative Material

  • Absorbs CO₂ during fiber growth, offsetting emissions and contributing to a lower carbon footprint.

  • Bio-based epoxy resin has a lower CO₂ footprint than synthetic resins.

  • Supports corporate sustainability goals and eco-conscious regulations.

Versatile Applications

  • Fully customizable in thickness, format, and aesthetic finishes for functional and decorative uses.

  • Able to design and tailor for a specific application. Reinforcements for mechanical needs, fire-resistant solutions, and guiding on qualification & certification process—we have got you covered.

Circularity

  • Designed to align with circular economy principles, ensuring sustainability at every stage of its lifecycle: renewable sourcing, low-carbon production, durability & longevity, end-of-life biodegradability, and reusability (repurposed or used as bio-fuel).

  • Committed to always improving and supporting a circular and sustainable material economy.

Naturally Aesthetic

  • Available in natural colors of golden yellow, black, brown, or gray finishes for premium design applications.

  • Unique woven texture provides an organic, high-end appearance.
